I've been trying to dedicate the weekend to finishing revising my current short story because I plan to include it in my upcoming book of fiction, The Hidden. And can you believe I haven’t even touched the story in all day and it’s already past 10 in the evening? That’s because life in this country is run by an institution that has little concern for the artist as much as he/she is trying to make money off of their work. The institution: the economy. So I’ve been trying to meet that institution’s inevitable demands. And because I’m trying to squeese dedication to my short story into this weekend, I decided to take it a little easy with this week's post and give you some . . .
Far Out Fantastic Finds
A public library in Boise, Idaho had their annual comic book convention today! One of few public libraries to have a comic convention. This is another great example of how comic books are becoming more accepted into the literary canon!
3) Emerian Rich's Pod Cast Novel Artistic License
The founder of the horror pod cast series, HorrorAddicts, has a novel out on podcast. It sounds like a phantastic one since it involves a woman who can paint things that come to life and a house with plenty of haunts. I haven't had a chance to listen to it myself but I definitely plan to. So check it out!

It might shock some of you to find out where this Con was held at. But knowing Lovecraft's racist manner of thinking, maybe it's not too shocking. I'd like to eventually do an entire post on this one. So look out for that but, in the meantime, check this article out.
5) “All the Most Thrilling Science Fiction andFantasy Books Coming This Fall”
This fall? I'm still trying to finish up the summer! But I can't say that there's that tinge of looking forward to the dark season, as I call it. One of my favorite hallowdays fall within it. But until then check out the sneak peaks of these heavy books, including Stephen King's Bazaar of Bad Dreams! Now I dig that title, totally! Speaking about bazaars, check out my bizarre bazaar story in my collection, TheFool's Illusion.
7) And check out this out'a sight ray punk site, called Raypunk.org. Unfortunately, as interesting as its articles are, it hasn't been updated since 2013. But with so little out there on atom punk which is a next door neighbor in alternative history to ray punk, it's worth checking out.
Until next time . . .
